Elementary School since the first graduation there ! As of 02/08 there are only a small number of

The Town of Penobscot is located between the towns of Orland, Castine, Brooksville, and Blue Hill
Maine, on the eastern shore of the Penobscot River, where it empties into Penobscot Bay. On these
webpages you will find some interesting links within the Community of Penobscot, the State of Maine and
the Hancock County area.
Our local school, the Penobscot Community Elementary School, is home to the Penobscot Tigers. There
are a number of intresting areas to visit in and around the Penobscot Community; so grab a cup of coffee
or whatever you please, browse through the History of Penobscot, or view a profile of the town created by
local students for your viewing, read T he Old Farmers Alamanac, the Bangor Daily News or the Ellsworth
American Online, or check out todays weather on the Local Weather Radar Map. If you are interested in
the local Recreation & Outdoor life, you can click on Page Two and view some photo's , thumb through
the Penobscot Community Photo album, visit the local Volunteer Fire Dept., or check out th e
